As part of these efforts, we are conducting reviews with EcoVadis to assess our sustainability performance as it relates to several key areas, including our environmental impact and procurement practices. We have also implemented various eco-friendly programs at our branches and warehouses, with the goal of rolling out more in the future.
Some of our current environmentally friendly practices include:
- Investing in hybrid vehicles.
- Implementing recycling programs at our offices and warehouses
- Deploying energy-saving, eco-friendly lights in our offices and warehouses.
- Participating in Earth Day, Environmental Awareness Month, Zero Emissions Day and Energy Efficiency Day to raise employee awareness.
- Promoting meetings via Microsoft Teams, WebEx and other technologies to stay connected while reducing travel.
- Creating systems to electronically store and manage documents to reduce paper use.

IKO is proud to announce that it received a Silver rating from EcoVadis, the leading platform for environmental, social, and ethical performance ratings for global supply chains. This rating places IKO higher than 15% of global companies within the same industry and recognizes their positive environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives across company operations.
EcoVadis medals recognize companies that have completed the EcoVadis assessment process and demonstrated a relatively strong management system that addresses sustainability criteria, as outlined in the EcoVadis methodology.
