IKO International announces a new addition to its roller bearing family, CRBF Mounting Hole Type, High Rigidity, Crossed Roller Bearings. These specialized bearings feature a space-saving design, with rollers alternately crossed at right angles between
inseparable inner and outer rings. Because the rollers make inline contact with raceway surfaces, elastic deformation under load is minimal.
Bearings can simultaneously accommodate loads from all directions, including radial, axial and moment loads. Applications include industrial robots, machine tools, medical equipment and other machinery requiring high rigidity and superior accuracy in
a compact footprint.
CRBF Crossed Roller Bearings feature numerous mounting holes on both the inner and outer rings, enabling fast and easy mounting without the need for special housings and fixing plates. The roller guidance system incorporates special separators between
cylindrical rollers, allowing ultra-smooth and high-speed rotation. With regard to the bearing’s sealing structure, open and sealed types are readily available. The open structure is well suited to low-energy applications, due to the absence of any
sealing friction. Sealed types feature synthetic rubber seals that provide excellent protection against dust and contaminants, as well as prevent grease from escaping. Shaft diameters range from 10 to 80 mm for both types.
Because the rotational torque of CRBF Crossed Roller Bearings is lower than that of traditional plain bearings, the difference between static and dynamic torque capacities is small. This enables both lower power consumption and a reduced operating temperature
rise, thereby increasing overall machine efficiency. The operating temperature range for CRBF bearings is -20° to +110° C. Basic dynamic load ratings range from 2,910 to 51,100 N.
