Linear Way Roller Type

Profile-rail linear guides with cylindrical rollers for the highest rigidity, load capacity, and pitch and yaw resistance in machine tool and heavy-duty automation applications.

Roller-type rigidity at industrial scale

Linear Way Roller Type guides substitute cylindrical rollers for balls as the rolling element inside the slide unit. The line-contact geometry of rollers increases the load capacity and stiffness of an equivalent ball-type guide while dramatically reducing elastic deflection under load. Use Linear Way Roller Type wherever rigidity is the critical design parameter — machine tool slides, gantry axes, grinding machines, and any application that combines heavy loads with tight positioning tolerances. Available in standard and stainless construction, with IKO's C-lube long-term maintenance-free slide units for long service intervals.

  • Increased load capacity vs ball type. Line-contact rollers carry roughly twice the dynamic load of an equivalent ball-type guide and resist pitch and yaw moments with markedly less elastic give.
  • C-lube maintenance-free option. C-lube slide units integrate a solid lubrication element directly into the carriage, eliminating routine greasing in inaccessible installations and through-life maintenance schedules.
  • Wide variety for optimal selection. With five different slide unit shapes and four different slide unit lengths, you can select the optimal linear way unit for your specific requirements.
