Linear Motion

Miniature Linear Way Ball Type

Compact profile-rail linear guides in rail widths from 5 mm, engineered for precision linear motion in semiconductor, medical, optical, and laboratory equipment.

Precision linear motion in small envelopes

Miniature Linear Way Ball type guides have two rows of balls that contact the raceway at four points. Despite its very small body, it provides stable accuracy and rigidity even in applications where load has variable direction and size, or is complex. Two rail-width families cover most use cases: standard miniature rails for tight envelopes, and wide miniature rails for higher rigidity and load capacity without stepping up to full-size Linear Way. ML slide units are C-lube maintenance-free, integrating a solid lubrication element so the carriage runs for thousands of operating hours without re-greasing — important in clean rooms and access-limited installations.

  • Standard and wide rail variants. Standard miniature rails for the tightest envelopes; wide miniature rails when an axis needs higher rigidity or load capacity but full-size Linear Way is too large.
  • C-lube maintenance-free standard with ML. ML miniature slide units ship with IKO's C-lube solid lubricant integrated into the carriage — no field greasing, no contamination of clean-room or medical equipment.
  • High and Precision accuracy grades. Two accuracy grades let you choose between general-purpose miniature linear motion and the tighter parallelism and running accuracy that semiconductor and metrology equipment require.
