Feature
IKO's self-lubricating capillary system, built into bearings across rotary, linear, and mechatronics product families for maintenance-free operation.
C-Lube integrates a capillary cartridge of oil-impregnated resin directly into the bearing. Capillary action releases lubricant on demand as rolling elements pass, holding film thickness without re-greasing. Five years or 12,500 miles of maintenance-free operation in continuous duty; available with H-1 food-grade oil; can be integrated into bearings as small as 3 millimeters wide; no added length, no added rolling resistance.
Rotary products also have maintenance-free C-Lube options, providing continuous lubrication as it rotates and eliminating the need for relubrication throughout the bearing service life. Additionally, ThrustDisk™ seals in cam followers further prevent contamination and extend life.
Extends re-lubrication from months to years. In typical duty cycles, the bearing reaches end-of-life before the lubricant does.
The capillary cartridge sits inside the existing bearing envelope. No length increase, no added rolling resistance, no compromise on positional accuracy.
Available in rotary cam followers, needle roller bearings, linear ball splines, profile-rail slide units, and mechatronics linear-motor-driven and ball-screw-driven tables.
