Linear Motor Tables

Direct-drive linear-motor stages for high-speed, high-accuracy positioning without ball-screw friction or wear.

Direct drive, no transmission lag

Linear-motor tables couple the table directly to a magnet track via a coreless or iron-core motor — no ball screw, no belt, no rotary-to-linear transmission. The result is high speed, sub-micron repeatability, and a frictionless feel that holds positional accuracy at any velocity. IKO's linear-motor family covers strokes from 8 millimeters to nearly three meters, with vertical-mount, horizontal-mount, and XZ-stacked configurations to suit pick-and-place, inspection, and assembly work cells.

  • Direct-drive precision. 0.1 to 0.5 micron repeatability with no backlash or wear-induced drift. Linear encoder feedback options down to 0.01 µm resolution.
  • Speed without compromise. Move at up to 3,000 mm/s with full thrust to the endpoint. No screw lead-velocity ceiling, no transmission heating at high duty cycles.
  • Compact to full-scale. Five series cover stage envelopes from sub-100 mm compact NT models for instrumentation up to LT long-travel motors for multi-meter inspection work cells.
