L-Balls

L-shaped spherical ball joints for short-throw linkages, control mechanisms, and pivot connections that need a compact misalignment joint.

Compact, L-shaped ball joint with dust cover

L-Ball joints are an L-shaped spherical bushing with a female-threaded housing and a threaded ball stud, designed for efficient mass production and short-throw linkages, instrument linkages, and machine-cover latches. Available with right- and left-hand threads in metric sizes from M4 through M22. Molded rubber dust covers (PRC) are also available.

  • Compact L-stud design. The integral ball stud lets the joint mount where a straight rod end will not fit, with metric threads from M4 to M22.
  • Self-aligning. The spherical ball inside the housing swivels freely, so the joint accepts angular misalignment in the linkage.
  • Right- and left-hand threads. Both thread directions are stocked, so adjustable linkages can be assembled with one left-hand and one right-hand end for length tuning.
