Rod Ends

A rod end carries a spherical inner ball inside a housing with an integral threaded shank, male or female. The spherical joint accepts angular misalignment so the linkage keeps moving cleanly when the mating shaft tilts under load. IKO offers metric and inch series with insert-type, maintenance-free, and die-cast housings, in left- and right-hand thread configurations.

• Takes shaft misalignment. The spherical inner ball swivels inside the housing so the joint keeps moving freely when the mating rod or pin tilts off-axis.
• Male and female threads, metric and inch. Insert-type and die-cast housings cover M3 through M30 metric and the matching UNF inch sizes, both right- and left-hand.
• Maintenance-free option. EC-suffix series use a PTFE liner so the joint runs without relubrication in places that are hard to reach and for machines where oil must be avoided such as food processing machines, or machines which cannot be re-lubricated.
