LINEAR MOTOR DRIVEN TABLES
High-precision positioning tables with linear motor drives
Direct drive positioning mechanisms for fast and responsive machine motion
IKO designs and manufactures several styles of positioning tables driven by linear motors that act as accurate and repeatable positioning mechanisms in a variety of applications, from semiconductor manufacturing equipment to assembly systems
Linear Motor Tables (LT)
Linear Motor Tables (LT) are lightweight, direct drive positioning mechanisms with low sectional heights. An AC servomotor and miniature optical linear scale are integrated within a high-strength aluminum table and bed to achieve fast acceleration and highly responsive positioning.
- A C-shaped magnet yoke set between two stator magnets, along with a high-density coil, enable a driving force of 150 to 900 N for fast, precise motion.
- The three styles of the LT series are: compact (CE), long stroke (LD) and high thrust (H).
- Built-in C-Lube lubrication components for long life and maintenance-free operation up to five years or 20,000 kilometers and beyond.
- Applications include semiconductor equipment, measuring instruments, assembly systems and material handling machinery.
Standard models (NT…V)
Standard models (NT…V) are available in three sectional widths with thrusts to 36 N and stroke lengths from 10 to 120 mm. This series utilizes Linear Way L, a miniature linear motion rolling guide for the table guidance. These models are also compatible with vertical mounting.
High Accuracy Models (NT…H)
High Accuracy models (NT…H) offer maximum thrust of 25 N and stroke lengths from 25 to 65 mm. Running accuracy is less than 1 µm using Anti-Creep Cage Crossed Roller Ways in the table guiding parts.
Pick and Place Models (NT…XZ)
Pick and Place models (NT…XZ) offer maximum thrust of 50 N (x axis) and 25 N (z axis), with stroke lengths of 45 mm (x axis) and 10 mm (z axis). Units feature a super thin profile of just 18 mm. This series uses C-Lube Linear Way ML miniature linear motion rolling guide in the table guiding parts.
High Thrust Pick and Place Models (NT…XZH)
High Thrust Pick and Place models (NT…XZH) offer maximum thrust of 70 N in both the x and z axes, with stroke lengths of 25 mm (x axis) and 10 mm (z axis). Closed loop control using linear encoders in both axes enables both high resolution and extreme responsiveness. This series uses C-Lube Linear Way ML miniature linear motion rolling guide in the table guiding parts.
